Chef Shelley Robinson

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Shelley Robinson is currently working at Grand Villa as Executive Chef. She also works as a chef instructor at Vancouver Community College teaching and mentoring students in the foundation and apprenticeship programs. Educated at Dubrelle French Culinary Academy and Vancouver Community College, Chef Shelley spent 18 years in Alberta, co-authored four cookbooks was owner/operator of two restaurants a Café and an Artisan Grocery store. As an outspoken Slow Food member Chef Shelley spent many years cultivating and developing relationships with local, sustainable suppliers and was a Canadian delegate for Slow Food Canada in Turin Italy.

Shelley recently won the Food Network’s Chopped Canada and was a competitor on the Food Network’s season 4 Top Chef Canada. A regular TV and radio personality in Vancouver, Shelley spends her leisure time sourcing and foraging local seasonal foods, cooking for her friends and family, traveling, skiing, kayaking and dining out. “The monstrous ‘Tomahawk’ pork chop was a thick, glistening piece of succulent Berkshire pork. The meat was richer and moister than farm-factory hogs.
